The winning entry in our slogan contest will receive a $100 Gold Membership to the SafeLawns Foundation.
We’re finally going to put together a weather-proof lawn sign and print T-shirts for our members who want to celebrate their allegiance to chemical free lawn care. We’ve tossed all sorts of ideas around for the best phrase to go on the back of the T-shirt and the back of the lawn sign. The front of both will bear the SafeLawns Approved logo. We need a phrase something along the lines of “Pesticide Free Zone” or “Happy to be Pesticide Free,” except other organizations have already used those.
Send us your ideas by next Friday, June 18, by email to Paul@safelawns.org. The winning entry will receive a $100 Gold Membership to the SafeLawns Foundation, which includes a copy of The Organic Lawn Care Manual, a copy of the film A Chemical Reaction and a copy of the how-to DVD “Making the Organic Lawn Care Transition.” The winner will also receive the first T-shirt off the press.
Good luck to everyone and get those (pesticide free) thinking caps on!
Note: In the case of multiple people coming up with the same phrase, we’ll donate multiple memberships and T-Shirts.

A little lawn flag is a good idea for more than just advocacy. Once or twice every year the numbskulls from chemicallawn apply the neighbor’s stuff to my yard and hang their bill on my doorknob. I would like a polite, discrete, maybe standardized way to stop this. I wish at least they would aerate my lawn, but for some reason they never do that.

Mark,
Most likely in your state it is illegal to apply pesticides to property without the owners permission. You can report them to your state or ask your local extension service how to report it. Samples will be taken from your property to verify your claims.
Instead you could call chemicallawn yourself and let them know that you know the law and tell them you will take action if it does not stop.
Or send them a bill for contaminating your lawn.
You can be polite but I realize none of my suggestions are discrete. Keep in mind that it is likely you are not the only one this is happening to.

The directions for how to submit are in the post, second paragraph, first sentence.
