Help Wanted: Pesticide Applicator?!* . . . ‘No Education Required’

General

I’m in Florida today taking a rare day off to spend with my father and his wife. This ad in the local paper caught my attention: http://www.myfoxtampabay.com/dpp/jobs/daily_jobs/job-of-the-day-pesticide-applicator-042910. This came on the same day I read the news out of Utah about the pesticide applicator who will be charged with negligence in the February deaths of two young sisters caused by pesticides. The misdemeanor fine will apparently be less than $30,000.

Do you think maybe our society does not take the applications of pesticides seriously enough?
