REPORT: Genetically Modified Corn Harmful to Mammals

Wed, Jan 13, 2010

General

A respected medical journal confirmed what millions of natural food proponents have suspected for years: genetically modified food is likely bad for us. The International Journal of Biological Sciences reported that three varieties of GMO corn — including the so-called “Roundup ready” version — harm primary organs of rats. Rats, mice and rabbits are the primary mammals used for testing when scientists are trying to determine if a substance is likely harmful to humans and other animals.

Yesterday’s Huffington Post spells out the findings quite well in lay terms: www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/01/12/monsantos-gmo-corn-linked_n_420365.html
