Lawn Games for Life Campaign Gaining Momentum

MOMENTUM IS BEGINNING TO BUILD for the Lawn Games for Life campaign we’ll be launching in 2012. Centered around the book I have co-authored with actress Victoria Rowell, the events will include public talks, Lawn-A-Thon festivals, games demonstrations, a media campaign and outreach to schools and municipalities.

“Use the lawn, don’t just look at it,” we’ll be telling folks as we traverse North America beginning at the Philadelphia Flower Show in March, where the book will be unveiled in public for the first time. Victoria and I have agreed to appear during the March 4-11 event, though the exact time has not yet been set.

MUNICIPALITIES ARE ALSO BEGINNING TO CALL US about organizing Lawn-A-Thons on the playing fields. The way it will work is that we’ll provide the content, education along with some promotion and supervision; the community provides the site, volunteers and some promotion.

THE MESSAGE CENTERS AROUND EXERCISE, for children and adults. We will, of course, mention that if you’re going to play games on the lawn and playground then all that grass ought to be toxin free.

Email me anytime if you’re interested in more information and I’ll get you in touch with our program coordinators.
