Back-to-Back SafeLawns Events in DC Region Today & Tomorrow
The plane leaves this morning for Baltimore-Washington Airport for the final week in the spring 2011 SafeLawns educational tour.
Sponsored by our new research partners at Glenstone in Potomac, Md., the first event tonight will be a how-to lecture titled “How & Why to Create a SafeLawn” beginning at 7 p.m. at the Tenley Friendship Library. A signing of the book, The Organic Lawn Care Manual, will follow.
Then, on Tuesday night, we’ll be in Potomac at the Wayside Elementary School for a screening of our film, A Chemical Reaction, followed by a panel discussion — which promises to be a wide-ranging event that covers everything from the health risks associated with lawn pesticides, to community activism and safer alternatives.
