Pesticide Industry Strips Bill of Clean Water Protections

Industry lobbyists managed to convince many in the House of Representatives to vote for H.R. 872, the so-called “Reducing Regulatory Burdens Act of 2011″. Under the guise of reducing government regulation, lobbyists have now made it to the Senate with this bill, which would effectively strip all waterway protection from dangerous pesticides.
