Event Notes: Sarasota Tonight, Houston Next Week
Just a few days shy of the fifth birthday of the SafeLawns Movement (Feb. 27), our cause is chugging along.
We were in Maryland this past Monday putting together the pieces of what we hope will one day become the largest organic lawn research project in the nation’s history. We can’t wait to tell you more about it.
Tonight, our film, A Chemical Reaction, will be shown as part of the Precautionary Principle Film & Lecture Series in Sarasota, Florida. All the details are included on our Events Calendar, at right.
Next Thursday, we’ll be in Edison, New Jersey, for a press conference just prior to the opening of this year’s New Jersey Flower & Garden Show. The topic will be the state of the union of the organic fertilizer and pesticide industry in the United States. The event, which includes lunch, is sponsored by Natural Industries, the makers of Actinovate; if you’re a media member who would like an invitation, let me know at Paul@SafeLawns.org.
On Saturday, Feb. 19, we’ll be in Houston for the first Organic Landscape & Gardening Fair: http://houstongreenscene.org/houston-green-news/paul-tukey-coming-houston. This event has limited seating and attendance and early registration has been brisk, so don’t miss out.
We’ll soon have news about the Northeast Lawn & Garden Pesticide Summit in New Jersey in April and the Northwest Lawn & Garden Pesticide Summit in Seattle on June 4, as well as a week-long tour of Canada and an appearance at the Newport Flower Show in Rhode Island among many others.
