Approved Contractors List to Grow
Wow. What a huge amount of interest in our SafeLawns Approved program! With several companies in the pipeline for inclusion, we do plan to soon expand our list of of SafeLawns Approved contractors across the United States and, potentially, Canada. So if you don’t find anyone on the short list from your area, please know we’re working on it.
In an era of consumer confusion and blatant greenwashing by some companies in the lawn and garden sector, the SafeLawns goal is to give consumers confidence that the companies they hire are truly organic.
To be included, companies fill out an application that is submitted to our Board and program manager, Scott Reil, for consideration. An administrative and promotional fee is paid so that SafeLawns can provide ongoing marketing and educational support to the Approved contractors.

If you don’t see a company on the list near you, it’s useful to review our list of 12 questions to ask your landscape contractor prior to spending any money: http://www.safelawns.org/articles/Questions-for-Your-Natural-Lawn-Contractor.cfm. Be a savvy consumer. When we watch the marketing ruse perpetrated daily by companies like LawnDawg and TruGreen, it’s easy to see how consumers can be duped.
