Fire Belly Organics Joins SafeLawns Movement

We are thrilled to announce that Fire Belly Organics has signed on a supporter of SafeLawns.org and as a presenting sponsor of our film, A Chemical Reaction, for the spring North American screenings that we’re titling the “Launch One in Your Town Tour.”
The New Hampshire based company offers an affiliate marketing program that pays 10 percent commission to any organizations or groups that sell its products and programs. We were impressed the Fire Belly’s 6-Step organic lawn care program that takes the guess work out of making the transition away from synthetic chemicals.
I encourage everyone to check out www.firebellylawncare.com and reach out to founder Tom Kelly and his crew.

Here is the press release that will go out to the national media on Monday:
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE JANUARY 25, 2010
Fire Belly Joins SafeLawns Mission
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Offering a straight-forward, effective alternative to synthetic fertilizers and pesticides for lawn and garden care, Fire Belly Organics announced it was joining the SafeLawns movement as a Presenting Sponsor of the film, A Chemical Reaction, and as a supporter of SafeLawns.org.
The New Hampshire-based distributor of highly concentrated organic liquid fertilizers and soil amendments has developed a proprietary six-step program to aid consumers in their transition to natural lawn care and away from toxic pesticides. The company’s products fill a critical need in an era when environmental and health consciousness is increasing, according the SafeLawns Foundation executive director Robert Fowler.
“People who come to SafeLawns.org are looking for proven solutions that work efficiently and effectively,” said Fowler. “They are also looking for a program that is not overly complicated, since the idea of organic lawn care is new to many people. Fire Belly Organics fills that need. And since the company’s business model is mail-order, direct-to-consumer, these products are available across North America.”
The SafeLawns Foundation, formed in 2006, offers a public awareness and educational campaign focused on organic lawn care. In 2010, the Foundation has launched an international tour based on the movie, A Chemical Reaction, that tells the story of the first town in North America that banned lawn and garden pesticides such as weed ’n feed and Roundup.
“Fire Belly sees the relationship with SafeLawns.org as the perfect fit between two organizations with a common goal in mind,” said Tom Kelly, the founder of Fire Belly Organics. “If Safelawns can continue to push the message that organic lawn care is the way to go, Firebelly wants to be the solution.
“By proving that it is no longer necessary to use dangerous products to obtain a nice lawn A Chemical Reaction pushes the issue to a public that needs to be informed. Getting behind the movie was something that we felt we really needed to do. Not only to realize the publicity benefits associated with this landmark film, but to help be a part of a story that needs to be told.”
